Charlie L. Sanders, 84, of Beloit, passed away Dec. 5, 2015, at Baptist South in Montgomery. Services are scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 12, at noon at Greater New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnnie Blunt officiating. Burial will follow in Greater New Hope Cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing. He is preceded in death by his mother, Roberta Sanders Emanuel; father, Clay Harris; son, Leroy Sanders. He is survived by his spouse, Mary Alexander Sanders; sons, Finis (Carolyn) Sanders and Charlie (Cora) Sanders; daughters, Mattie (Rev. Sherman) Walker, Mary (Rev. Joshua) Davis, Sharon (Rev. Amos) Crews and Anjulena (Leland) Johnson; brothers, Finis (Julia) Harris, Samuel Harris, Robert (Lurene) Emanuel and George (Maria) Emanuel; sisters, Ruth (Nick) Grady, Cartia (Larry) Moseley and Joann Deas; 15 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; four sons-in-law; two daughters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; 16 nieces; and 14 nephews.
