Maplesville man killed in single car wreck

A Maplesville man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Dec. 4.

William Hunter Davis, 20, was killed when the 2004 Chevrolet Silverado he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree, according to a press release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Davis, who was not using a seat belt, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene, the release said.

The crash occurred at 4:30 a.m. on Alabama 139 near the 11 Mile Marker, and 25 miles east of Maplesville.

No additional information was available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate the crash.

Davis is survived by his father, Larry (Kim) Davis; mother, Dana (Bucky) Barrett; girlfriend, Makaela Tindol and her parents, Chris and Tammy Tindol. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Shyann Davis, Branden Burton, Emme Davis, Kacey and Morgan Barrett, Amber Goodman and Kenneth Daniels; paternal grandparents, Carol Froberg and Jimmy Henry; maternal grandfather, Ralph Murray; maternal great grandmother, Ann Drewry; nieces and nephews, Braxten and Hadley Burton, Chloe, Kailyn and Jordyn Goodman.

Funeral services were held for Davis Monday at Selma Funeral Home.
