Charles W. Moore Jr., age 90, of Birmingham, passed away on Nov. 18, 2015.
He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and spent several years working with the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey.
He was a long time resident of Selma, where he worked for many years at WHBB radio station. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles (“Webb”) and Blanche Moore; brother, Joseph William Moore; sisters, Anne Moore Baker and Mary Glenn Moore Pryor; and his beloved wife, Jewel Freeman Moore. He is survived by a nephew; six nieces; and their families.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Birmingham on Monday, Nov. 23, 2015, at 10 a.m.
Visitation is at the church, beginning at 9 a.m. Graveside services will take place at New Live Oak Cemetery in Selma at 2:30 p.m.
