Florence Hardy, 77, of Tyler, passed away Oct. 7, 2015, at Trinity Hospital in Birmingham.

Services are scheduled for Oct. 17, 2015, at 1 p.m. at New Selmont Baptist Church with pastor H. Christopher Minter officiating. Burial will follow in New Sister Springs M.B. Church with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.

She is preceded in death by her spouse, Julius C. Hardy; parents, Rochelle and Estell Walker; son, Alphonso Hardy; daughter, Rosie Lee Marshall; and two sisters, Annie M. Walker and Ella Bell Hardy.

She is survived by eight sons, Vernon Hardy, Elvis Hardy, Julius Hardy, Anthony Hardy, Darryl Hardy, Marcus Hardy, Antonio Hardy and Edward Marshall; daughters, Shirley Davis, Lisa Mallard and Donna Spears; brother, Jessie Walker; sisters, Willie B. Ross, Vinnie C. Crum, Marie Walker and Catherine Collins; 39 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three sons-in-law; five daughters-in-law; one brother-in-law; two sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces and nephews.
