Eva Jo Drinkard Booker

Eva Jo (JoMama) Drinkard Booker passed away at her home Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015. She was born July 5, 1927, to A.E. and Jesse Drinkard in Edna. She married George William Booker, and they made their home in Selma. She was employed by United Methodist Children’s Home in Selma for over 43 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George; and daughters, Jackie Booker and Faye Booker Kelly.
She is survived by her son, Terry and his wife Jule; three granddaughters, Jessica (Stephen) Connick, Marni (Walter) Tutt and Adrienne (Hugh) Overmyer; and one grandson, George Robert (Deidre) Booker. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, Brooks, Sawyer, Clayton, Wallace, Camilla, Caroline, Henry, Sarah, Eva, Mary Martin and William; and a special niece, Gail Bryson Foukal.
Graveside services will be held Monday, Sept. 7, 2015, at 10 a.m. at New Live Oak Cemetery with Dr. Cecil Williamson officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.
