Morgan Academy dropped its second volleyball match in two days in a loss to Fort Dale Academy on Tuesday to fall to 1-2 on the season. The Senators lost to Fort Dale 25-21, 26-24, 21-11 Tuesday. The loss came less than 24 hours after Morgan lost to Tuscaloosa on the road Monday.
“Our communication was almost nonexistent,” head coach Caroline Averitt said. “They’re tired, they’re exhausted.”
While Averitt was frustrated with the way her team played on Tuesday, she is hopeful her players will regain the communication and positive spirit they had in the first game.
“We’re going to leave it where it is, we’re not going to look back. We’re going to move forward and keep plugging,” Averitt said. “We’re just going to keep working until we find something that works.”
Morgan’s next game is at Autauga on Monday at 5 p.m.
