Best of luck to those starting the new school year

School hallways are once again filled with students and their eager to learn minds and eager to educate teachers. Selma City Schools started back last Thursday, Dallas County Schools start back next Monday, along with most private schools.
As students and teachers get back into the routine of school, we want to wish everyone the best of luck and best wishes. Getting back into the routine after a long, fun-filled summer can be hard at first, but we know each and every one of you can do it.
As many people say, education is the key to success and knowledge is power. For those going back to school, take advantage of being in class and take every opportunity to learn something new.
For those of you starting school for the first time, it may be scary, but you will learn to love school and cherish each moment, even some of the bad ones.
When school starts, it adds to the activities that are going on in and around Selma, and we can’t wait to see the school plays and the science fair projects.
Seeing children learn is powerful, and we can’t wait to share it with the rest of Selma.
Teachers and parents don’t shy away from letting us know what is going on with your school. We look forward to highlighting the many field trips, accomplishments and other events going on in our schools. You can email the newsroom at news@selmatimesjournal.com. We can’t wait to see what the new school year has to offer, and look forward to the many memories that will be made.
