James Legette White passed away May 30, 2015, at the age of 66. He was born November 25, 1948.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Polly Bowick Cosey; fathers, James Herbert White and Andrew Melvin Bowick; and sons, Donald Dupree and Ricky Averette.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Joyce White; daughters, Amy Michell Berdette, Brenda (James) Carswell and Mary (Randy) Moreland; sons, Jake White and Jeff Stewart; thirteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Leonard Bowick; sister, Connie Hudgens; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with brother Wayne Rouse officiating.
Interment will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens. Visitation was Monday, June 1, 2015, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Mark Johnson, James Mitchell, Raymond Magouirk, Kenny Wilkerson, Paul Wilkerson, Alan Canterburry, Jason Johnson and Micheal Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Earl Averette and Glen Johnson.
