Virginia Pauline Poe, age 94, of Selma, passed away April 7, 2015.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel O. Poe; parents, Henry and Mary Plummer; brothers, Ernest Plummer and William Plummer, and sisters, Katie Ross, Edith (Gene) Taylor and Mamie Nichols.

Surviving are her children, Thomas W. (Vickie) Poe, Johnny (Shirley) Poe and Linda (Buddy) Howorth; sisters, Marie (C.T.) Singleton and Minnie (Tom) Boyce; grandchildren, Jennifer (Dave) Chu, Mary Susan (Nathan) Welch, Victoria (Tony) Moore and Stephen (Laura Whitney) Howorth; great-grandchildren, Anna Grace Welch, Sara Brooke Welch, Paisley Lynn Welch, Lydia Ann Moore, Elizabeth Graham Howorth, Grayson Samuel Chu and Marleigh Wren Chu; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 11, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Selma Funeral Home with the Rev. Daniel Martin and the Rev. Von McQueen officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends Friday, April 10, 2015, from 5-7 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Ray Cook, Charles Lovelady, Randy Singleton, Stephen Howorth, Nathan Welch and Tony Moore.
