Mrs. L.D. Averette Colburn, 75, of Greensboro, entered into eternal rest Saturday, April 4 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.

She is survived by her husband, R.C. “Pete” Colburn of Greensboro; sons, Johnny C. Averette (Patricia), Bobby W. Averette (Cheryl) and Mark Averette (Shelia), all of Greensboro; daughter, Bonnie Watkins (Jerry) of Greensboro; stepdaughters, Shelia, Sherry, Kathy and Laura; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; six step grandchildren; and five step great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Grady “Cleveland” Averette; brother, William R. Clements; and grandchild, Amy Colburn.

Visitation was held Monday, April 6 at Rockco Funeral Home in Centreville. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 7 at 2 p.m. at Spring Hill Church.
