Lamar Billie (Bill) Lee, age 87, of Selma, passed away March 5, 2015.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Daniel Lee, his son Billie Joe Lee and his parents, John David Lee and Fannie Lou Hester Lee of Elba.
Surviving are his wife, Jeanette Moreland Lee, his son, Tony Lamar Lee; his grandsons, Daniel Lee (Selma) and Dalton Lee (Auburn); stepsons Kenneth (Pam) Pittman of Norris, Tenn., and John (Toni) Pittman of Cypress, Texas. Step-grandchildren Ashley Pittman, Jenny P. (Matt) Quinn, Erin Pittman, Callie Pittman all of Cookeville, Tenn. and Jessica, Jordan and Thomas Pittman of Cypress, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday, March 9, 2015, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Light officiating. Interment will be in New Live Oak Cemetery with Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Pallbearers will be members of the Maverick Sunday school class.
Mr. Lee was a member of First Baptist Church and the Maverick Sunday school Class. In 1976, he founded Lee’s Auto Sales in Selma. He continued to work for his son at Lee Motor Sports until recently. Bill was respected and loved by his many loyal customers and friends. He will be remembered for his honesty, integrity, sense of humor and love of his family.
