Donald Lewis Jones Sr. age 81, of Selma, passed away Feb. 22, 2015.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lonice Jones; brothers, Wilbur Jones, Thomas Jones, Billy Jones and Horace Jones; and sisters, Mary Farmer, Leila Gregg, Delene Harris and Hazel Harris.

Mr. Jones was a member of Northside Baptist Church and retired from Bush Hog after 42 years.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Dollie M. Jones of Selma; son, Donald L. “Don” (Kay) Jones Jr. of Selma; special grandson, Master Travis Christopher Jones of Selma; brother, Mac Jones of Valley Grande; sister, Mildred (Don) Belcher of Valley Grande; sisters-in-law, Margie Jones Zieber of Thorsby and Rosellar (Dean) Lowery of Jemison; brother-in-law, Billy (Louise) Oates of Jemison; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Northside Baptist Church with the Rev. Ken Blake and Dr. Kenny Hatcher officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Steve Travis, Rex Thompson, Charles “Bubba” Stough Jr., Mark Story, Charles Ellis, Norman Copeland, Terry Hughes and Berry Vines.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Northside Baptist Church Building Fund, 2950 Citizens Pkwy., Selma, AL,  36701.
