Sarah Virginia Rives, age 89, of Selma, passed away Feb. 15, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe K. Rives Sr.; parents, William P. and Velma Pearson and sister, Beatrice Cauley.

Surviving are her children, Starr (David) Hudson, Susan (Terry) Shelby, Joe K. (Julie) Rives Jr. and Barbara Aultman; sister, Alice Collier; grandchildren, Starr Pearce, Susanna Carnecchia, Joe Kain Shelby, Katie Jones, Chris Frith, Jennifer Frith and Michelle Belknap; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at Shiloh Baptist Church on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015, at 11 a.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Shelby, Jake Brown, David Martin, Jason Jones, Chris Frith and David Hudson.
