Mary Etta Cobb, 85, a resident of Selma, passed Jan. 14, 2015. Funeral services were held at noon on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, at New Morning Star Baptist Church in Marion Junction with the Rev. R.L. Tolbert Jr. officiating.

Burial followed in New Morning Star Cemetery with J.H. Williams & Sons Funeral Home directing. She is survived by three sons; Alex (Anita) Thomas Jr., Ronnie Thomas and Eddie Cobb; five daughters, Shirley (Jasper) Holmes, Delois (Rev. E.J. Sr.) Marshall, Gertrude (Rev. Karl) Lewis, Rosie Cobb (Patrick) Cook and Santaush Cobb.
