Spencer James Coleman Jr., 27, formerly of Wetumpka, passed away on Jan. 12, 2015. He was born May 31, 1987, in Tuscaloosa.

He is survived by his parents Dr. and Mrs. Spencer James Coleman Sr. (Beth); brothers, Bestor Wynne Coleman IV of Nashville and Samuel Woodfin Coleman of Chicago; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur L. Woodfin (Jacqueline) of Selma; uncle, Osmund A. Coleman III of Tuscaloosa; aunt, June Dawson (Larry) of Panama City, Fla.; uncle, Arthur L. Woodfin Jr. (Debbie) of Hoover; cousins, Bestor Wynne Coleman III (Dianne) of Greensboro, Christopher Dawson of Panama City, Fla. and Wynne Dawson (Lindsey) of Montgomery; and Cooper Woodfin and Laney Woodfin of Hoover. Our lives have been enriched having been loved by Spencer J. Our hearts have a deeper meaning of what sweet love is.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Dr. Osmund A. Coleman Jr. (Sally) of Greensboro.

Spencer J. was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Wetumpka; a graduate of Edgewood Academy and valedictorian of the class of 2005.

He attended the University of Alabama and was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon 2005 pledge class.

He was employed by HNH Immunizations as a Corporate Field Representative and was set to launch his own company in Louisiana, Heroes of the Gulf, as president, in 2015.

The family would like to express appreciation to the coaching staff of Edgewood Academy and the influence of his dear Godparents, Anderson and Laura Hembree of Union Springs.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 14, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the Family Life Center at First United Methodist Church in Wetumpka. The memorial service will be Thursday, Jan. 15, at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church in Wetumpka.
