The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for Perry County. The following counties are also included: Bibb, Fayette, Greene, Hale. Jefferson, Lamar, Marengo, Pickens, Sumter, Tuscaloosa, Walker and Winston.

The tornado watch is in effect until 8 p.m. tonight.

The watch includes the cities of Aliceville, Birmingham, Brent, Carrollton, Centreville, Demopolis, Eutaw, Fayett, Greensboro, Haleyville, Hamilton, Hoover, Jasper, Linden, Livingston, Marion, Moundville, Sulligent, Tuscaloosa, Uniontown, Vernon and York.
