Henry served his country faithfully in the U.S. Navy. He worked pipeline construction all over the United States and numerous countries throughout the Middle East, Africa, Central and South America. He served as a deacon at Jones Baptist Church and Bethel Baptist Church.

His life was spent always putting the Lord, his family and his friends first. Traditional gospel music was a favorite past time for him, with his favorite being “What a Day That Will Be.”

“Babe Boy,” as he was affectionately called, will be missed by many. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and a father figure to many throughout the community. His life can only be described by his extraordinary and adventurous life; may the Lord be with him as he embarks on his last “Great Adventure.”
