Bernice McMillian, 88, of Selma, died Dec. 23, 2014 at the Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Ga. Services are scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the West Trinity Baptist Church, officiated by Dr. Woodrow Johnson. The burial will be held at Lorenzo Harrison Cemetery, directed by the Lewis Brothers Funeral Home.

McMillian was proceeded in death by her mother, Rosie Hackett; husband, Mack D. McMillian; sons Donald Irby, EP. Irby Jr.; and sister, Primpie Pettaway.

Survivors include her sons, Ken Irby, Curtis Irby, Alfred Irby and Dr. Donald Jefferson; daughters, Rose Irby Wilkins, Renee McMillian Clark, Darlene Randolph, Chinkia McMillian and brothers, Willie Hackett Sr. and Alfonso Hackett Sr.; 15 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, two sons-in-law, three daughters-in-law, five brothers-in-law, five sisters-in-law, and a hosts of nieces and nephews.
