Score Roundup: Meadowview, Ellwood, DCHS boys win

Tuscaloosa Academy 64, Morgan Academy 33 (Boys)

TUSCALOOSA — Tuscaloosa Academy overwhelemed Morgan Academy 64-33 Friday night in the first round of the Tuscaloosa Tournament.

Wooham Keemer led the way for Morgan Academy with nine points, but the Senators were down the entire way. Tuscaloosa led 19-5 after the first quarter and 30-17 at halftime. Morgan Academy (3-4) will play Patrician in the consolation game in the Tuscaloosa Tournament Saturday.

Dallas County 66, Akron 36 (boys)

Dallas County (6-0) stayed undefeated with a 30-point victory over Akron Friday.

As of press time, no stats were available. Dallas County will play at Sumter Central Tuesday.

 

Meadowview 58, Brooklane 51 (boys)

Javier McGuire and Clayton Thorton each scored 14 points as Meadowview Christian held on for a 58-51 win over Brooklane Baptist Friday.

Justin McGuire added 11 and Alan Stockman scored 10 for the Trojans (6-3).

Meadowview’s JV boys also won 40-32. Meadowview will play at Millbrook Thursday.

 

Meadowview 43, Brooklane 7 (Girls)

Mallory Freine scored 11 points to lead Meadowview Christian to a 43-7 win Friday over Brooklane Baptist.

Christina Dabit, Taylor Roberts and Nikita Miller each scored 10 for the Lady Trojans.

 

Ellwood Christian 59, Sweet Water 47 (Boys)

Jalen Furlow scored 22 points and had five assists to lead Ellwood Christian (2-4) to a 59-47 win Friday over Sweet Water.

Rayford Mitchell had 12 points and eight steals for the Eagles and Anthony Woods had 11 points.and seven assists.

 

Sweet Water 34, Ellwood Christian 28 (girls)

The Ellwood Christian Lady Eagles fell to Sweet Water 34-28 Friday.
