Freeze expected overnight Thursday

The coldest temperatures so far this season are expected overnight Thursday into Friday morning.
Several hours of below freezing temperatures are expected for most of Central Alabama.
Thursday’s freeze warning will be in effect from 9 p.m. until 9 a.m. Friday. Temperatures are expected to be in the 22 to 28 range.
A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
Due to the expected widespread freeze, additional freeze and frost warnings are not expected to be issued again this growing season.
Outdoor water pipes should be drained and wrapped or allowed to drip slowly to help prevent possible bursting.
