Mary Elizabeth Josephine Collier Wates, age 82, of Montgomery, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2014.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Breland Collier.

Mrs. Wates was survived by her husband: Donald Wates of Montgomery; special daughters:

Kathy Johnson of Selma, Charmaine Chance (Robert) of Prattville, Sheryl McDougal (John) of Selma; special step-daughter: Donna Freeland of Hamilton; grandchildren: Jon Ryan Johnson, Brendan Chance, Christa House, John Thomas McDougal, Caleb McDougal, Nathan Freeland; great grandchildren: Katie Brook Chance, Lane Chance and Juliette McDougal.

Services will be at Houston Park Church of Christ Friday, November 7, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. and visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Minister Doug Smith, Dr. Robert Waggoner and Dr. Tom  McLemore officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

Pallbearers will be Brendan Chance, Ryan House, J.T. McDougal, Caleb McDougal, Wheeler Chance, Doug Ferguson, Jimmy Smith, and Ken Carmichael
