Dr. Norward Roussell, 80, of New Orleans, LA died on October 13, 2014 in Selma. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Freedom Baptist Church and officiated by Rev. James A. Spicer, Sr. Visitation will be held at the church at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery in New Orleans, LA. Funeral services are being directed by Randall Miller Funeral Service, Selma, AL. Dr. Roussell is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Roussell, Sr., two brothers, Edward, Jr. and George Roussell, and two sisters, Helen and Dorothy Mae Roussell.  He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joan V. Roussell, twin brother, Dr. Norman (Dorothy) Roussell, sister, Ada (Sidney) Anderson, sister-in-law, Francine Verrett, two sons, Eric (Mina) and Norman (Dionne) Roussell, and daughter, Melanie (Ronald) Newman.  He is also survived by three grandchildren, Eric Jr., Victor Dreux, and Reagan Roussell, three nieces, Vanessa Roussell, Cheryl Anderson and Erica Smith, two nephews, Dr. Michael (Ellie) Roussell and Paul Smith, two great-nieces, Mia Roussell and Nico Smith, and two great-nephews, Miles Smith and Marvis McCladdie.
