Dallas County residents may hear sirens Tuesday, but there’s no need to be alarmed.
The Dallas County Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency will conduct its regularly scheduled monthly test of outdoor warning sirens.
An announcement from the Dallas County EMA said the test would occur the following Wednesday if a threat of severe weather exists on the test date.
Emergency sirens are placed in 19 locations throughout the county.
Sirens could sound multiple times, but all alarms would be part of the same test, according to Dallas County EMA director Rhonda Abbott.
If sirens do not sound, the EMA asks residents to call 874-2515.
