Margaret Oneita, 89 of Prattville, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2014.  Life Celebration services will be held Monday May 5th at 11:00 AM at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel with the Reverend Kenny Hatcher officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery with grandsons and close family friends servings as pallbearers.  Mrs. Pike was born July 31, 1924 in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Charlie Beier and Ester Kimber Beier.  She was a devoted wife and loving mother who enjoyed cooking, sewing, needlework, gardening and raising flowers.  She was a longtime member of the Pine Flat Baptist Church near Suttle, Alabama.  Mrs. Pike was preceded in death by her husband Earl and a son Terry.

She is survived by  three sons; Ronnie( Sharon) of Millbrook, Donnie (Debra) of Prattville and Eddie (Karen) of Hamilton, Ohio; a daughter, Denise (Doug) Conaway of Marion Junction, Alabama; a sister, Faye Baker of Lancaster, California;  two sisters-in-law, Beulah Ready of Lawrenceville, Kansas and Leila Beier; six grandchildren, Melanie Peterson, Shelia Evans, Josh Pike, Matthew Pike, Samuel Conaway, Russell Conaway; six great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice or to the charity of your choice.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
