J.T. Fails, 80, resident of Minter, AL., passed away January 20, 2014 in Selma. Services are scheduled for Saturday, January 25, 2014, 1:00 p.m. at Good Hope Baptist Church officiated by Pastor John Ward. Burial will follow in church cemetery directed by Lewis Brothers Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by mom, Rena Brown Fails; father, R.C. Fails, SR.; brother, Bobby; sister, Gloria; daughter, Linda Calcote.

Survivors include devoted companion, Mattie Watters; son, James Sullivan; daughters, Gwendolyn Brooks, Fannie Wilson Benson; brothers, George, Lovell, Samuel, R.C. Jr., Edward Fails; sisters, Minnie McElroy, Estell Reese, Delois Howard, Hanna Steve, Katie Rumph; nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, one son-in-law, one daughter-in-law, three brothers-in-laws, four sisters-in-laws, a host of nieces and nephews.
