Curtis Marvin Nichols of Hope Hull, after a courageous battle with Lyposarcoma cancer, went to be with the Lord on December 14, 2013 at the age of 72 surrounded by his family. Born

December 11, 1941 in Berry, AL, Fayette County to the late James Rosco and Audra Elizabeth Davis Nichols. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Mary Lilla Foster Nichols and son Paul Allen Nichols (Kim), two grandchildren Joshua Curtis and Emily Katherine Nichols, seven brothers and sisters, and a number of nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Jim Warr for his unending love and support for Curtis.

Curtis helped build many of the interstate bridges that we drive over daily and reinforced many major river dams in Alabama and one in Georgia. In 1959, he came to Minter to work on a bridge where he met his true love and life long partner.
