Dear editor,

On behalf of all of the members of the Selma Lions Club, I would like to say “Thank You” to the citizens of Selma and Valley Grande, and the citizens of Dallas and surrounding counties, for showing their support of the 57th annual Central Alabama Fair.

With this support, we will be able to continue our work with the Alabama Sight Conservation and the Alabama Institute for the Blind. This support will also help towards our being able to help the local charities, some of which include the Salvation Army, Sabre House, Boy Scouts, and the Red Cross. We will be able to continue our local sight work in providing optical care, including eye exams for the locally underpriviledged.

We would also like to give special thanks to all the sponsors and our volunteers, whose help allows us to continue to bring the fair to Selma each year for all to enjoy, including us. It gives us great joy to see one of all having a good time.

To The Selma Times-Journal, we also say “Thank You” for the wonderful stories and photos your team did about the fair this year. We have had several people come up to us and make many very positive comments.

Again let me say thank you on behalf of the Selma Lions Club for all the support, and help this year for making this year’s fair another great success.
