John Roy Carter, a longtime resident of Selma, Al. passed away Thursday July 25, 2013. He is survived by his sons, James Roy Carter and John Randall Carter; daughter-in-law, Donna Carter; brothers, A.G. Carter and Otis Carter; sisters, Faye Keaner and Willie Jean Green; along with many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Saturday July 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.at the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Rev. Joey Bentley officiating. Burial will follow at Carter Golson Cemetery.

Family will receive friends on Friday July 26, 2013 at the funeral home from 6- 8 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Carter, Ben Cosby, Mack Carter, Steven Smith and Rick Robertson.
