Selma will be hosting an AAU basketball tournament this weekend, featuring basketball players from all across the state.

“My organization, the TNA Heat basketball club, is hosting the AAU Tournament here in Selma,” TNA Heat president Randy Fincher said. “We are basically just trying to give Selma a look at travel-league basketball.”

In all, 36 teams will take part in the tournament at four different locations.Games will be played at the YMCA, R. B. Hudson Middle School, School of Discovery, and Wallace Community College Selma.

Pool play is on Saturday with a playoff round taking place on Sunday to determine the winners in each age group.

The tournament will feature players from the fifth grade all the way through high school.
