Rev. Larry G. Purifoy, Sr., 59, resident of Selma, passed away May 2, 2013 at Vaughan Regional Hospital. Services are scheduled for May 9, 2013, 12:00 noon at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Dr. L.L. Ruffin. Burial will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery directed by Miller Funeral Service of Selma.

He was preceded in death by parents.

Survivors include spouse Debbie Purifoy; four sons, Anthony Purifoy, Larry Purifoy, J., Mario Purifoy of Pensacola, FL., and Mykel Purifoy of Selma, AL; two daughters, Sylvia Purifoy, Pensacola, FL., and Tiffany (Dedrick) Dance, Birmingham, AL; thirty-one grandchildren
