The threat of severe weather Thursday is forcing school officials throughout the county to decide whether or not to dismiss students early, hoping they are able to get home before the expected storms roll through.

Here is an updated list of closures and decisions:

 

High schools and private schools:

• Cathedral Academy — Dismissing at 11:30 a.m.
• All Selma City Schools — Dismissing at 11:30 a.m.
• TOP Christian Educational Academy — Dismissing at 11:30 a.m.
• All Dallas County Schools — Dismissing at noon
• Meadowview Christian School — Dismissing at noon
• Morgan Academy — Dismissing at noon

Colleges:

• Concordia College-Alabama — All classes after 11:30 a.m. have been cancelled
• Wallace Community College-Selma — Will close at noon, all afternoon classes have been cancelled
• Selma University — Keeping normal schedule
