Ms. Bettie Mae Hopkins, a loving mother, sister, and friend to many was born on December 20, 1954 to the late Dan and Sarah Hopkins. On December 23, 2012, God called one of his angels home; she spread her wings and departed this earth.

She leaves to cherish her memory: three children, Shonda Courtland, Waike (Ebony) Hopkins, and Crystal Hopkins; four grandchildren Dalvan Mitchell, Janel Mitchell, Deja Hopkins, and Crysette Hopkins; five brothers, Dock, Joe, Legion (Sadie), William, and Marcus (Janice) Hopkins all of Selma, AL; three sisters, Mary (Reginald) Jones of Chino Hills, CA, Carolyn (Willie) Kelly of Phenix City, AL, and Evelyn Hopkins Collins of Selma, AL; 18 nieces, 15 nephews, 58 great nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Bettie was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Sarah Hopkins; two sisters, Bessie Brown and Beulah Hopkins; two brothers, Dan Hopkins Jr. and Robert Hopkins.
