Bettie Mae Hopkins, 58, resident of Selma, passed away December 23, 2012 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center. Services are scheduled for December 29, 2012, 1:00 p.m. at Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel officiated Pastor Gregory Perkins. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery directed by Lewis Brothers Funeral Home.

 

She was preceded in death by brothers, Dan Hopkins Jr., Robert Hopkins; sisters, Bessie Brown and Beulah Hopkins.

 

Survivors include parents Dan and Sarah Hopkins; son, Waike J. Hopkins (Ebony); daughters, Shonda Courtland and Crystal Hopkins; grandchildren, Dalvan Mitchell and Crysette Hopkins; brothers, Dock Hopkins, Joe Hopkins, Legion Hopkins (Sadie), William Hopkins, and Marcus Hopkins (Janice); sisters, Mary Jones (Reginald), Carolyn Kelly (Willie), Evelyn Collins; eighteen nieces, fifteen nephews, fifty eight great nieces and nephews, a host of other relatives and friends.

 

Pallbearers will be nephews.
