Max A. Nichols Sr., 73, passed away September 13, 2012. In the Air Force he dutifully served at Dauphin Island, North Africa, Germany, Key West, Southeast Asia, and in the Vietnam Conflict. Survivors include his wife, Patricia; children, Teresa Nichols, Max Nichols, Jr. (Barbara), Stefan Nichols (Misti), and Sara Kiser (Roy); 2 grandsons, Ian & Noah Nichols; 2 brothers, Charles Nichols of Selma, AL & John T. Nichols of Montgomery, AL; 2 sisters, Joanne White of Selma, AL & Billie Taylor of Costa Mesa, CA.

There will be a visitation Monday, September 17, 2012 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. in the St. Bede Catholic Church Parrish Hall and a funeral mass Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at 10 a.m. with a burial to follow at Alabama Heritage Cemetery with Father Carucci officiating.
