Mrs. Frances Solomon Weaver, 73, resident of Selma, passed away August 10, 2012 at St. Vincent Hospital. Services are scheduled for Saturday, August 18, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Billie Marshall. Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery directed by Miller Funeral Service of Selma.

She was preceded in death by parents Clarance and Marguerite Carty.

Survivors include spouse Louis Weaver; son, Willis H. Thompson Jr. (Mardean); stepdaughters, Tangee Hunt (Chris), and Pam Weaver both of Birmingham, AL; two brothers, Ronald Allen Canty of Queens, NY., Charles F. Canty (Ann) of Ambria Heights, N.Y.; two sisters, Marilyn F. Canty of Selma, AL. and Rose Burke (Eddie) of Queens, N.Y.; Goddaughter, Jacinta Thomas; one step son,three grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one daughter-in-law, one brother-in-law, three sisters-in-laws, a host of nieces and nephews.
