Deonte Williams, a 19-year-old from Uniontown, pled guilty last week to first-degree rape and received a 25-year sentence from Circuit Judge Jack Meigs.
According to reports from the District Attorney Michael Jackson’s office, Williams kidnapped the victim at gunpoint in Montgomery.
According to Jackson, while on the way through Dallas County, Williams pulled over and reportedly raped the victim.
“We are going to keep shipping these rapists off to prison for a long time,” Jackson said about Williams after Monday’s sentencing.
The defendant turned himself into the Perry County Sheriff’s Department in August 2009, where he confessed to theft of property and burglary, as well as rape.
Williams admitted to officials in Perry County that on the night of Aug. 27, 2009 he waited for the victim to get home. He had a .38 caliber handgun that he had stolen from a residence in Montgomery several weeks prior and used that handgun to assist in raping the victim.
According to the incident report, this occurred near the Bright Eye Club in Dallas County.
