Deacon Willard Kelton Jr.

Deacon Willard Kelton Jr., 67, resident of Selma, passed away July 13, 2012 at home.
Deacon Kelton was born on August 12, 1944 in Selma to the Late Willard Sr. and Margret Kelton.
He was a member of Elbethel Missionary Baptist Church.
He graduated from R.B. Hudson High School in 1962. After graduation he attended Alabama State University College in Montgomery, AL. He worked at Selma Country Club for 42 years and Henry Brick for over 20 years. Due to illness he retired early. His love for children inspired him to become a foster parent.
Services are scheduled for July 21, 2012, 12:00 at Elbethel Baptist Church, 2792 Persimmon Tree Road, Selma, AL Rev. Joe J. Peterson, Pastor, and Rev. Rufus Tolbert, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery directed by Miller Funeral Service of Selma.
Survivors include devoted and loving wife Helen Neely Kelton; son, Willard III; two daughters, Arlene and Tornya; step-son, Marcus Smith Sr.; five grandchildren, Desmon, Damin, Tierra, Marcus Jr., and Marquez; brother, Frank Hendson; eleven brothers-in-laws, four sisters-in-laws, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
