A Saturday afternoon shooting has one man in serious condition in Montgomery and another in jail charged with attempted murder.
Selma Chief of Police William T. Riley said Samuel Baskin is currently charged with attempted murder, in the Dallas County Jail and is being held without bond.
The shooting took place on the 1900 block of Keller Avenue at approximately 3:30 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found the unidentified victim laying on the ground in front of a house, suffering from “multiple gunshot wounds.”
Riley said early investigations show the shooting stemmed from a dispute between the two individuals.
“After some initial investigation we were able to identify the suspect and we found him a little later,” Riley said. “We are continuing to investigate.”
