Mr. Sammie Lee Davis, 78, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, June 3, 2012. He was born in Minter, Alabama on August 14, 1933 to the late William and Henrietta Davis.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lula Mae Davis. He leaves to cherish his memories, three sons, Michael (Rekena) Davis, and Eric Davis, all of Huntsville, AL; two brothers and two sisters, Willie G. (Mayetis) Davis, Tacoma, Washington, Jerry (Indiana) Davis, Selma,AL, Juanita Britt, Euclid, Ohio, Sadie Davis, Huntsville, AL; one brother-in-law, Bobby Lee (Vivian) Harris, Huntsville, AL; three grandchildren, Jarrodd Davis, Darryl Gaines, II, and Jaelyn Davis, all of Huntsville, AL. He also leaves other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012, 11 a.m. at Union Hall Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Huntsville, AL, with Elder McKinley Jones officiating.
