Noted Selma artist Frances M. Lanier died on April 27, 2012 at age 95. A native of Talladega, she was a long time resident of Selma. A memorial service for Ms. Lanier will be held on Saturday, May 19 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, the Rev. Joseph S. Knight officiating. A reception for friends and family will be held following the service in the church parish hall.
