Mattie M. Cannon age 91 a cosmotologist of Thomaston, AL died April 27, 2012 at her childhood home in York, AL. She was born September 2, 1920 in York, AL.

She is survived by her step son and daughter in law, John (Josephine) Cannon of St. Elmo, AL; 3 daughters and sons in law, Bessie Lou Cannon (Maury) Wilson of Conyers, GA; Ann Cannon (Melvin) Burge of Selma, AL; Sara Cannon (Hooty) Allen of Arab, AL; sister, Janelle Taylor of York, AL; 9 grandchildren, Mike (Johnnie Lynn) Cannon of St. Elmo, AL; David Cannon of Talladega, AL; Elisha (Pearson) Rogers of Deatsville, AL; Maura (Jeff) Snowden of Athens, GA; Neil Allen of Salt Lake City, UT; Blake Wilson of Vidalia, GA; Ellen (Jimbo) Miller of Elmore, AL; Kimberly (Dan) Anderson of Orlando, FL; Meredith Wilson of Conyers, GA; 8 great grandchildren, Lacy Cannon Crisman, of Prattville, AL; Mandalyn and Sheldon Cannon of St. Elmo, AL; Clayton Rogers of Deatsville, AL; Briana Cannon of Prattville, AL; Cannon Rogers, of Deatsville, AL; Freddie Snowden of Athens, GA; Addison Miller of Elmore, AL; 3 Great-Great Grandchildren, 19 Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband John Columbus Cannson, Sr., her parents, 6 brothers and 2 sisters.

Visitation will be held at Thomaston Baptist Church on Monday, April 30, 2012 from 1:00 PM until the 2:00 PM service time with Rev. Brad Campbell officiating. Burial will be in the Thomaston Cemetery.
