Marshall D. Barnes, Jr. “Tommy” was born November 9, 1934 and passed away Sunday April 22, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall D. and Ora Smith Barnes; brothers, D.J. Barnes, Braxton, Floyd and James. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Lula Mae MimsBarnes; Quincy (Ethel) Barnes and Douglas Barnes; grandchildren, Daniel Christopher Barnes and Jesse Barnes; sisters, Lucille Crocker, Jean Edwards (Clyde), Pauline Lane, Maxine Grant (Charlie), Mary Jo Chance and Christine Hale (Pete).

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday April 25, 2012 at Ocmulgee Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Tommy Fancher officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m.Tuesday April 24, 2012.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Barnes, Eugene Barnes, Ronald Barnes, Bryant Barnes, Allen Fancher and Kenneth Dempsey.
