Ruth Waldrup Ellis closed her eyes on March 17, 2012. She had lived a long and enjoyable life of 94 years. Sixty-five of those years were spent with her husband Vaughan D. Ellis, now deceased. Ellis (Mimi) and four great grandchildren, Emily, Evan, Ethan and Eden; granddaughter, Susan Kendrick Epp (Edward); great-grandchildren, Dillon Epp (Jessica), Wyatt Epp; granddaughter, Amanda Kendrick Stein (Howard); great-grandchildren, Olivia Stein and Erick Stein.

A chapel service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday March 22, 2012 at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Minister Jimmy Robinson officiating and burial following New Live Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends at The Ellis Home, 1224 County Rd. 44 Selma, (behind Marks Mart) beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday night.
