An educated voter is a powerful weapon

When voters head to the polls next Tuesday, they will do so in one of two conditions. They will either go educated on the issues, on the candidates and the positions those candidates have taken on those issues. Or, they will go voting for the candidate who had the prettiest sign or the one who handed out the most pens and T-shirts.

When it comes to next Tuesday’s primary election there are only four key, local elections.

There is a race for Dallas County Probate Judge, a race for Dallas County Commission Place 3, Circuit Court Judge Place 1 and the Republican nomination for U.S. House of Rep. District 7.

On Friday and Saturday, you will see stories on these four races, complete with interviews with each of the candidates.

These stories may not answer all your questions, but it will be more of a lesson than what’s provided on the side of a pen.
