Nell Sisson Melton, age 88, of Selma, died Wednesday February 29, 2012. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Hayward Melton. Survivors include daughters, Dianne Rainer (Sterl), Judy Sweeney; grandchildren, Price Rainer (Kelly), Melton Rainer, Joel Rainer (Danelle), Kerry Pennell (Kevin), Beth Sweeney; great-grandchildren, Christian Rainer, Jackson Rainer, Russell Pennell, Savannah Pennell, Patrick Sweeney, Lauren Sweeney, special friends, Ann Wallace, and Florence and Willie Moorer and family.

Graveside services will be held Saturday March 3, 2012 at 2:30 pm, at New Live Oak Cemetery, if weather permitting, otherwise services will be changed to a chapel service at Lawrence Brown- Service Funeral Home, With Rev. Jerry Light Officiating and Lawrence Brown- Service Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Saturday March 3, 2012 from 1-2 pm, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Price Rainer, Joel Rainer, Carl Seele, Jr., Johnny Seele, Harold Speir, and Dick Morthland.

Honorary pallbearers will be Willie Moorer and Fred Williams.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the First Baptist Church building fund.
