Bridget Nicole Woods

Bridget Nicole Woods began this journey on January 16, 1981. Bridget is the youngest child born to Sara L. Woods. She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Mrs. Sarah B. Scott and her father Mr. James Ford Sr. Bridget confessed Christ at an early age under the leadership of Reverend Letha Rumph. Later she joined the family of New Shady Grove M.P. Church under the stewardship of Bishop B.A. Scott Sr.

Bridget enjoyed being a mother, sister, and a friend. She loved life and lived it to the fullest, always bringing joy to those around her.

Bridget began her ascension from mortal life on February 17, 2012. She leaves to cherish her memories; a wonderful mother, Sara Woods; her daughter, Shakyeria Green; godparents, Pete & Patricia Brown; two brothers, Frederick (Sabrina) Scott and Michael Woods both of Selma; three sisters, Cheryl (Clarence) Woods Bolden, Selma, AL., Lawanna Woods, Montgomery, AL, and Katrina (Warren) Morgan of Wetumpka, AL.; eight nieces, Sonya, Tamiko, Lakeasha, Latoya, Jorielle, Ashana, Chasity, and Raven; five nephews, Cornelius, Re-Hshaan, Marquel, Jaylon, and Javen; three aunts, Sallie Holiday, Jersey City, NJ, Evelyn (Willie) Reese and Mamie Stevens both of Selma, AL; two uncles, Bobby (Belinda) Scott, Selma, AL., and Tyrone (Regina) Smith of Eufaula, AL.; godsister, Tracy Fulford; godbrother, Kenneth Moore; special friends, Jamiaah Sharpe, Telicia Barker, Desmond Bostick, Takeesha Thompson, Monique A. Summers, Keisha Summers, Ashley Molette, Jamie Woods, and Melinda Shelton; four godchildren, Takeyah, Ke’Shawn, Kevien Jr., and Sariyah. A host of friends, cousins, and other relatives.

Services will be held Saturday, February 25, 2012, 12:00 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church officiated by Rev. E.D. Scott. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery directed Miller Funeral Service of Selma.
