If you enjoy seafood but don’t have time to travel to Red Lobster or Joe’s Crab Shack, one local church will offer a plethora of delectable choices, fresh out of the sea.

Shiloh Baptist Church, located at 1412 Selma Ave., will host its annual Seafood Buffet Friday, Feb. 3 inside the church. The all-you-can-eat smorgasbord will offer a variety of dishes including catfish, whiting and freshwater fish. Desserts will include homemade pies and cakes, banana pudding, southern style sweet tea and additional tasty appetizers.

In it’s fourth year, event organizers Lorraine and Arthur Capers and Pamela Boyd, said the yearly event is always a huge success.

“We raised over $6,900 last year,” Lorraine said. “It’s always a success because we have other things included — a lot of extra things on the menu. I think people like fish (and) like to fellowship.”

Lorraine said she expects the church to do even better with this year’s feast.
