Bessie Mae Chestnut Jones, age 88, of Celebration, FL, passed away January 27, 2012.
She is preceded by her first husband: Fred Chestnut of Selma.
She is survived by her husband: Weldon Jones of Birmingham; sister: Mrs. Jennie Strickland of Pensacola, FL; son: Dr. David Chestnut of LaCrosse, WI; daughter: Martha Hartman of Celebration, FL; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church in Birmingham on Saturday, February 4, 2012 with Dr. Jerry Gunnells officiating. Graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday February 4th at New Live Oak Cemetery with Lawrence Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held at Lawrence Funeral Home on Friday, February 3, 2012 from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Dr. John Mark Chestnut, Michael Chestnut, Dr. Bruce Hartman, Stephen Chestnut, Jeff Boehmer, and Jeff Gunnells.
