Robert Boyd Reeder, 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 22, 2012 at his home in Montgomery, Alabama.  Bob was born on December 2, 1926 in Charleston, SC.  After high school he completed 3 years in the Army Air Corp, graduated from Mercer University and then Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  After graduation, Bob set about serving the Lord as Minister of Education at First Baptist Church in Jackson, MS, First Baptist in Selma, AL, and finally Miami Springs Baptist Church.  Bob is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Jerrie, his 4 sons, Rob, Wayne, Richard and Bruce as well as their wives and 10 grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his 2 sisters and his brother as well as his youngest son, John Roland Reeder. A memorial and celebration of his life will be held at Eastern Hills Baptist Church in Montgomery, AL on Saturday, February 4th at 12:00 noon central time.  In lieu of flowers, we would ask that you consider making a contribution to The Alzheimer’s Association in Bob’s honor; by mail to 378 Centerpointe Circle, Altamonte Springs, FL  32701; by phone at 800-272-3900 or on their website www.alz.org.
