Services for Belcher will be Jan. 16

The Selma Fire Department proceeded with a heavy heart Saturday after learning of the death of 25-year veteran Robert Terrell “Ace” Belcher.
Belcher, a native of Marion Junction, died at his home Friday at the age of 64.
Selma Fire Chief Mike Stokes said he always appreciated what Belcher brought to the department.
“He would always help you any way he could,” he said. “We called him Ace for a reason. He was a great man to have at the department.”
Visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 15 at Selma Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Jan. 16 at 11 a.m. with E.C. Mims officiating.
Interment will follow the funeral service in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing.
Belcher was preceded in death by his father, Roger Lee Belcher; mother, Cora Belle Hicks and sister, Cora Jean Belcher Wright.
Belcher is survived by his wife, Patricia Nix Belcher; sons, Robert Keith (Amanda) Belcher, Richard DeWayne (Margie) Bowden and William Tate (Debra) Bowden; daughter, Rhonda Lynn (Thomas) Speed; grandchildren, Terry Belcher, Teirria Belcher, Spencer Belcher, Kyleigh Grace Belcher, Allen Crawford, Elizabeth Day, Kaylen Bowden, Madison and Isabella Bowden; and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers will by Aubrey Smitherman, Wesley Smith, Josh Tubbs, Mark Fullam, James Mims and Joe Goodman. Honorary pallbearers will be Allen Crawford, Brian Martin, Allen Canterbury and The Selma Fire Department.
